Nippers is run on Sunday mornings from October to April and our program is all about learning, confidence and having fun in a safe beach environment. We teach the Nippers basic beach and water safety skills, abilities in the surf and on the beach, how to spot rips and what to do if you’re caught in one, and some first aid as well. The older groups participate in swimming and boarding. The younger groups do water wades, all supervised by qualified water safety officials.
For those who are keen to compete, there are also opportunities to do so at local, branch, state and national competition carnivals.
The Nippers of today are the future of surf lifesaving tomorrow.
